My Crafty Partner

My honey has been busy as of late being all creative and all that, so i wanted to feature him here. Especially because he's been more creative than me! I've cut out my fabric pieces for the diaper bag, at least.

He's really into screening and stencil work, and got some great resources for Christmas. He also hopes to learn how to silkscreen at home, and knowing him, he'll be on it soon! Both the Stencil 101 book and Lotta Jansdotter book have been quite helpful for him!
He wanted to pizazz up our basement door, and found these adorable bird stencils that travel/fly down the stairs. Better than arrows and more fun than a plain white door!

Also, i bought him 2 Paint by Numbers sets (um) 2 Christmases ago, and this past Christmas break, he made time for himself and painted one. Isn't it lovely!?

Silk screening is supper easy at home.
you need to hinge 2 clamps( that hold the screen) on the top of a sheet of wood like a clip board (the wood should be about three inches bigger all the way round , than your screen)you can get silk screens from Dick Blick ( i think they ship :)) and then the ink and junk .. but that's the set up. I can send you a picture if it helps. tell him GOOD LUCK! and its a LOT of fun. :)
