Internet Round-Up

I'm off to a cottage for a 3-day weekend - i don't work Mondays. I am taking way too many things to do but i'll be happy if i can at least start them all!

This weekend, i will be:
* knitting my first adult-size slippers - i think i can do this after making so many baby booties!
* starting the book purses
* making injera for the first time
* reading a new book
* make bottle-cap quilt pieces
* make pins and jewellry with said pieces
* watching good new releases

Speaking of movies, we saw Nine Lives last night and it was beyond superb. It's a movie about 9 different women's lives and how they are all (subtley) interconnected. J said he thinks it was the best feminist movie ever made and i can't argue with that!

So, in light of great reading and entertainment, here are some blogs and websites i have recently discovered. My mom also read about a few (thanks mom!) and i am happy to have them featured on my 'Crafty Grrls' blog list.

Art Chix Studio
- great resource for scrapbooking, etc.

Bittersweet is a lovely lovely blog

Free Spirit Fabric - great site for fabrics

Hello, My Name is Heather is a fun, beautiful, and crafty blog

Scenic Route Paper Co - stunning work, potential site for gift-buying!

She's Foxy and Crafty - another great blog!

An ambitious to do list for the weekend!

I think Andy Barrie was talking about that movie a while ago, too. I must see it!

Have fun at the cottage!

i'm trying to wrap my head around what "bottle cap quilt pieces" could possibly be. and how you would use them to make jewellery. please post photos if you start this craft...it's hurting my brain just thinking about what it all means!

hope you have fun at the cottage!
